Weakly asking, I see many people say that DJGPP and wattom c are 32-bit DOS compilers in protected mode. There's one thing I don't understand. DOS is 16-bit, so how can it run 32-bit things? I'm confused... Also, how is its memory addressing implemented under 16-bit DOS... Can someone help explain it in detail... Thanks...

Programs compiled with DJGPP are of course 32-bit. Some people say "DOS is 16-bit", but in fact this statement is not precise. It can only be said that "the kernel of DOS is 16-bit", and through various DOS extension specifications (such as DPMI) or extenders (such as DOS4GW, CWSDPMI, etc.), DOS can easily support 32-bit mode.
