The AUTOEXEC.BAT in the WINDWOS 98/ME boot disk has 2 lines:
set LglDrv=27 * 26 Z 25 Y 24 X 23 W 22 V 21 U 20 T 19 S 18 R 17 Q 16 P 15 set LglDrv=%LglDrv% O 14 N 13 M 12 L 11 K 10 J 9 I 8 H 7 G 6 F 5 E 4 D 3 C What is the meaning, principle and usage of this? Thanks |

This is for this line of service:
call setramd.bat %LglDrv%
It is to set the %LglDrv% memory variable. One line is up to 127 characters, so two lines are typed. Confirm the available drive letters at the front for the memory drive to use. |

Thanks.
So, how is this confirmation action done? CALL SETRAMD.BAT %LglDrv% is in the back. The.Llgldrv variable is assigned values from 27 to 3 in turn. I think there should be an IF statement or something that keeps looping. |

When booting, press SHIFT+F8 (step-by-step boot) for debugging, and you will be able to see the specific steps.

What does the value of the LglDrv variable, which is a long string, mean? Please have an expert explain it.

Oh my god, the thread starter doesn't even understand such a simple batch processing. Speechless....
