I have an ADSL Modem, connect a router to it, and connect the computer to the router to build a local area network. The IP of the ADSL Modem is set to 192.168.7.1, the IP of the router is set to 192.168.0.1, and the IP of the computer is assigned by the router's DHCP. The ADSL Modem does not enable PPPoE dial-up, and the router is used for PPPoE dial-up. Now I want to access the setup interface of the ADSL Modem in the local area network. How to do it? (Directly typing 192.168.7.1 can't connect)

The modem of ADSL should not be connected to the router. Then connect your computer's network cable directly to the modem. Then enter 192.168.7.1 in the browser. This is okay. I have tried it before.

I once successfully upgraded the firmware of an ADSL Modem. What the second floor said is quite good. The ADSL Modem should not be connected to a router. Connect your computer's network cable directly to the Modem. The IP settings are not arbitrary either. Different brands are different. For example, for this ZTE ADSL Modem, the IP to log in to the management interface is 192.168.1.1, and the IP of the local connection should be set in the same subnet, such as 192.168.1.5. I know this. I used to directly connect to ADSL. I have a Shanghai Integrated i30 (a lousy machine, BS it), and the address is 192.168.7.1, which I tried long ago. But although this ADSL Modem has a routing function, there is only one LAN port. I want two computers to access the Internet simultaneously, so I bought a router (I knew I could use a hub, but I didn't understand before, I heard it from others). Now if I want to log in to the settings interface of the ADSL Modem, I have to unplug the plug and plug it in again, which is very troublesome. Is there a way to directly access the ADSL Modem from the subnet? By the way, does the i30 have firmware upgrades? [ Last edited by brglng on 2006-8-14 at 15:38 ]
