A small but practical real-mode text editor that supports long filenames? I'm afraid the best one is EDIT in MS-DOS 7. The English version is compressed to just over 40KB.

What to use to press?
Analysis of files like EDIT, FORMAT, SYS, etc., shows they are packed with the LINK/EXEPACK shell, and there's no way to handle them. |

Is there no smaller one? It doesn't matter if it's not very easy to use, as long as it supports long filenames. I mainly want to put it in the boot disk to use.
