upx is a software for compressing executable files under DOS. Just use it directly without any parameters. For example: upx *.exe(com) is okay

UPX is a compression software that can compress EXE files to reduce their size. The compressed EXE file can be run directly. It is an invaluable software for making bootable floppy disks because the capacity of floppy disks is very limited. Many software in WINGIER and my boot disks have used UPX for compression. UPX can not only compress EXE files under DOS but also compress EXE files of WIN9X/WIN3X, and the compression ratio is higher than that of similar software such as PKLITE, DIET, WWPACK, etc. If you want to compress a certain EXE file such as A.EXE, you just need to type UPX A.EXE. To obtain the detailed usage of UPX, you can type UPX /?
