The hard disk partition table has been damaged and it can't boot. Should I first use the antivirus software's A: disk to scan for viruses, and then restore the partition table backup? If I reverse the order, first use DISKGEN (DISKMAN) to restore the partition table to normal, then boot into xx operating system XP and use antivirus software to scan for viruses there, would that work? Can it remove viruses in the boot sector?

If you're sure it was a virus that damaged the partition table, then no, that won't work. It won't be cleaned completely that way.

If it's a boot sector virus, it's best not to boot the system from that disk, otherwise wouldn't that activate the virus? You should first boot the system with an antivirus disk and scan for and remove the virus.
