This is a revised version of the previous CD version..... The previous CD file couldn't be installed when there were two CD drives, and one had to be unplugged. And this one I modified to use Qdma, Shsucd, and added Spfdisk.... Of course, there is still a little imperfection that one still has to manually do Fdisk and Format before installation.......

The file has been uploaded.......

This version of DOS is a bit too old. It doesn't even support FAT32, large hard drives, and long file names. It is suggested to change to a new version of DOS to use.

Actually, I was originally just looking for MS DOS 6.22 and was randomly browsing the internet when I came across this place..... Everyone has different needs, I think..... DOS, if it has too many functions, it's not called DOS anymore, hehehe........ This is just my kind of view........ Because there are too many limitations......

The so-called "too many functions" also needs to be specifically seen what functions they are. If it is the adaptation to new computers or a relatively natural extension of the original functions (such as extending from supporting FAT16 to supporting FAT32, extending from supporting small hard drives to supporting large hard drives, etc.), then it is definitely still real DOS, and it is more practical.

There are still people who need DOS 6.22 that integrates 3 HDs into 1 CD.

It's very classic. I usually test my DOS software in this system! It would be nice if it supported FAT32!

Of course, it is already quite classic (although it is far from the more classic MS-DOS 3.3 and MS-DOS 5.0 back then). But its practicality is not high, and its compatibility with new software and new systems is not good (it can be collected, but it is not recommended to test in this system). If you want to support FAT32 (and some other functions), you can use the newer and more useful MS-DOS 7.10 (or even FreeDOS).

Does MSDOS start to support CD-ROM drives by default from version 6.22? The previous DOS systems seemed to require manual configuration to support CD-ROM drives!

It doesn't seem so. I checked and it should be that starting from MS-DOS version 6.0, the MSCDEX command was included by default, and it was version 2.22 at that time. In MS-DOS 6.20/6.21/6.22, MSCDEX version 2.23 was included, and in MS-DOS 7.10, the latest MSCDEX version 2.25 was included.

Actually, I think when using an emulator to implement the DOS system, DOS 6.22 was quite useful at that time, but as an operating system, it's better to use a higher version. Still, thank you to the楼主for sharing.

That's eye-opening
