I downloaded Sound Blaster 16/AWE for DOS/Windows 3.1 from an innovative website, the file name is sbbasic. After installing it under DOS 7.1 in a virtual machine, it reported ERROR: DIGN8002 The BLASTER environment setting are invalid. What model of sound card in Virtual PC is compatible?

Virtual PC can simulate SB16, but the simulation is not perfect, so the above prompt message appears. However, as described in the VPC FAQ, you can ignore the above information, but some DOS programs can already make sounds normally.

Games that can make normal sounds are because the game's program drives the sound card. Some games don't seem to include drivers, but I found that if you run a game that can make sounds and then immediately run a game without sounds, the game without sounds can make sounds, but this is troublesome!
