Help! Microsoft Network Client 3.0 can't obtain an IP after installation
After restarting, it only gets as far as Initializing tcp/ip via DHCP.... Is it failing to obtain an IP, or is the NIC driver not installed properly? How should I set the IP? DISABLE AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION=0 IP ADDRESS=0 0 0 0 IP SUBNET MASK= 255 0 0 0 DEFAULT GATEWAY 0= DEFAULT GATEWAY 1= NETBIOS SESSIONS=6 |

The IP can be 192。168。0。8, the SUBNET MASK is 255。255。255。0, and DEFAULT GATE WAY 0=192。168。0。1. That should do it. Don't use DHCP; maybe there isn't a DHCP SERVER yet? If there is no DHCP SERVER, then how can it be Initializing tcp/ip via DHCP....?
