First declare...I can install under Vmware...but cannot boot successfully....Those interested can try it.....

A few days ago after changing the motherboard on the machine (the original board seemed...broken...)....My...DS-XG....when setting up...the DMA options don't let me choose.....Obviously it's also an old board.....Hey.....In the Bios there are only a bunch of..IRQ....DMA.....set to...PCI/PNP or ISA.....lost again due to sound......

I used to be able to install the one with 6 disks under Vmware, but I couldn't boot successfully! Now installing this under VPC is all normal!

The Japanese interface is quite interesting, but the original English has all been translated into katakana, which is quite awkward to read. For example, Drive is read as dolaibu, sigh

I can't read Japanese. I once saw the boot screen of the Korean version of Windows, and Microsoft was actually written in Hangul, read as: ma i keu ro so peu teu, even more sweat.
I also found a very strange phenomenon. In Japanese DOS, the backslash \ has become something similar to the unit symbol of RMB/JPY.

"Hangul" is very interesting.
Is it that the Japanese like or are used to be the prompt?

Two files have their extensions changed to .us. Hehe. Is it a backup or to provide an English interface? From the above picture, there is also a wina20.386. A20 refers to the address line? Then win?? Could it be from the Windows system?

Exactly, the katakana transcription is too excessive. For example, Directory is also written as deilekutoli, sweat. I just don't believe there aren't better ready-made words in Japanese that can be directly translated literally.

No...It's because Japan used a large number of foreign words (pro-American) after World War II...

I can't understand, I just don't believe there isn't a ready-made better word in Japanese that can be directly paraphrased.
