1、To maintain the order of the DOS Batch & Script Technology (Batch Processing Room) section and facilitate users' browsing and moderators' management, these section rules are specially formulated; 2、This section mainly discusses all topics related to the teaching, research, and application of scripting languages in DOS/Windows or other environments. It mainly includes the following types: 2-1、Batch scripts supported by DOS/Win9x; 2-2、NT command scripts under CMD in Win2000/WinXP/Win2003, etc.; 2-3、Scripts supported by system-built-in tools such as debug/edlin/qbasic/cscript/ftp; 2-4、Third-party software such as 4DOS/awk/sed and scripts supported by them; 2-5、Scripts supported in other environments or platforms without relevant discussion sections in this forum; 3、When posting a new topic in this section, it is encouraged to use the format " Summary of Topic Content". 3-1、 refers to the category of the topic, and the following examples can be selected: 3-1-1、: The main content of the topic is written or created by the poster; 3-1-2、: The main content of the topic is rephrased, reposted, or reprinted from others; 3-1-3、: The main content of the topic is to discuss problems and give some answers; 3-1-4、: The first post of the topic is mainly to seek answers or help for problems; 3-1-5、: The related problems or tasks in the first post of the topic have been solved in the replies; 3-1-6、Other marks will be phased out gradually, such as , , , etc.; 3-2、 refers to the system or platform environment involved in the topic, and the following examples can be selected: 3-2-1、: Refers to all versions of MS-DOS and the DOS mode of Win98; 3-2-2、: Refers to the command line mode under 9X systems such as Windows95/98/ME; 3-2-3、: Refers to the command line environment under NT systems such as WindowsNT/2000/XP/2003; 3-3-4、: Refers to the compatibility environment of all the above systems or platforms; 3-2-5、: Refers to script support environments such as debug/edlin/qbasic/cscript/ftp/4DOS/awk/sed; 3-2-6、Special system or platform environments can add special marks, such as means applicable to XP and above, means excluding ME; 3-3、The summary of the topic content should be as concise and accurate as possible, and the length should be controlled within 20 Chinese characters or 60 English characters; 4、When these section rules are subordinate to the "China DOS Union Constitution" and "Forum Newcomer Must-read, Basic Behavior Guidelines for Everyone", they are extensions and supplements of them; if any term or terms of these section rules conflict with them, they are deemed invalid terms; 5、The draft of these section rules is formulated by moderator willsort, discussed, modified, and supplemented in this section, and comes into force formally after being approved by all moderators. The final interpretation right belongs to the forum management. |

Support first, the most hoped is that everyone when posting, it is best to indicate the running environment and related script interpreters in the subject. If it can form a fixed format, it will be better. For example:
vbs: How to perform database-related operations with vbs? [windows xp sp2] |

I have read it twice carefully. I think although your original version of the rules is a draft, it is already quite complete. I support it and have no additional supplements for the time being! I just think that it should be better to add corresponding obvious quick options after the "Title:" column, such as icons plus text prompts, etc. Welcome to discuss and make corrections! Hehe |

Re All:
First of all, I need to explain that the purpose of me formulating the forum rules is to hope that everyone can come and see, recognize, and abide by them; otherwise, it will lose its due meaning. And I have hesitated for a long time in formulating this forum rule, with many issues uncertain. Therefore, I just first create this draft for everyone to study together, not limited to the forum moderators, any forum member can express their opinions. Secondly, I once considered whether to add other responsibilities and obligations in terms of sections and content, such as restrictions on water posts and advertisement posts, restrictions on spamming replies, etc.; but I thought this should be the content of the entire forum's rules, not a special restriction of a certain section. After all, the Civil Law will not repeat the content of the Constitution. However, our general forum rules simply do not exist. Thirdly, I have considered the format of the forum rules for a long time and decided to refer to the form and spirit of legal provisions to highlight its seriousness. But after the formal document is completed, I feel that few people can read this forum rule completely, let alone accept it. Just as few people in the world fully understand their legal provisions. Therefore, this forum rule also needs one or several popularized versions to increase its appeal and influence. This requires everyone to contribute ideas together to compile some easy-to-understand and easy-to-accept interpretive versions of the forum rule regulations. For example, I once saw a forum's rules named "Town Forum Divine Beast - Forum Tortoise", which is still fresh in my memory. |

willsort,
As for the "Constitution", the content inside only involves the general responsibilities and obligations of members, and does not mention specific measures (these specific measures are reflected in various laws and regulations, such as the "Criminal Law", "Civil Law", etc.). The forum rules in the section can probably be regarded as a "Civil Law" that explains specific measures, and the part equivalent to the role of the "Constitution" should have been explained in the "Code of Conduct among Members" section of the "China DOS Union Charter", after all, just like the "Constitution", the general forum rules usually do not need to involve specific measures. |

To All:
The forum rules have been slightly updated: Clause 1 and Clause 4 have been modified, and Sub-clause 3-2-6 has been added; Regarding the platform marking, I am considering whether to use 98 instead of 9X, and XP instead of NT, using a typical version in each series to represent that series, because these two versions have the largest number of users, which is easy for newcomers to match, while 9X and NT are relatively unfamiliar; and if it is an expert, they will naturally distinguish the relationship between 98 and 9X, and between XP and NT. So this is also a try to increase the affinity. Re 3742668: The marking of the running environment was explained in Section 3-2 in the first version; Regarding the script interpreter, I feel that the necessity is not very great. After all, the main discussion topic here is still batch processing, and its interpreters are nothing more than cmd and command, and topics specifically discussing pure vbs or other scripts are very rare. The keywords such as vbs can be placed in the "Topic Content Overview" as an identifier. Re 220110: Is the "icon plus text prompt" you mentioned the mark text like added to the icon bar when posting a new topic? If so, there was already some discussion about this in the earlier forum, and finally it was not implemented because a suitable icon scheme was not determined. Re Wengier: Although the "Charter" is equivalent to the constitution, the batch processing section forum rules cannot be equivalent to the "Civil Law", but can only be similar to a civil regulation of a certain province or city. For example, the punishment measures cannot be independently formulated by the sub-forum rules, but should be uniformly formulated by the general forum rules under the authorization of the "Charter". Announcement: Soliciting forum icons, everyone is welcome to participate http://www.cn-dos.net/forum/viewthread.php?tid=17817 [ Last edited by willsort on 2006-5-14 at 20:32 ] |

This special topic is very well done. It is suggested to open another VBS, JS alliance. Anyway, they are all script - related. I have also learned a lot of good things from it, so I also give out some of my bits and pieces of experience[codes]

I think this board rule should be stickied first so that new friends joining the forum can see it and understand the specific requirements of the board rule. In this way, the rationality of the titles of the topics posted by everyone can be improved, and the number of the version management records of the moderators can be reduced, reducing the "workload" of the moderators. It can also better cooperate with the forum's search function. Another suggestion is that I hope that various moderators post more basic articles on other aspects of scripts, not only limited to batch processing, VBS, JS and other scripts. The most important thing is to post some basic articles. Why is that? Because many friends who come to this forum are not as proficient as the moderators. I can be sure that a large part are novices. So posting some basic script articles is particularly important. This can not only stimulate everyone's enthusiasm for new script technologies, but also enable everyone to better understand script technologies, and then develop an interest in scripts. With interest, I think everyone will be motivated to learn script technologies. If we always post a lot of boring and difficult-to-understand articles, it loses its meaning. When I first learned batch processing, I was also interested in it after reading many articles about the application of batch processing, which made me develop a strong interest, so later I learned it more easily. Just these two small suggestions. |

Top of the building
There are some basic script articles, which is a great blessing for us who want to learn scripts but don't understand them very well Because we don't understand and want to learn, we will also raise some strange questions in the forum, which undoubtedly brings a burden to the major moderators and all you experts. Here, please forgive us! You have worked hard. If there are some more basic things, we will also be able to master them easily. At the same time, we also hope to reduce the burden on you predecessors I hope to add comments in some examples (because people's skills are different, maybe some people can understand, but there are still many newbies who can't understand. With such comments, there is no need to start a new post to ask the meaning of a certain sentence, and there is no need to bother you to explain the same sentence once, twice, three times...), because in this way, we can better master the meaning of each sentence, so as to achieve the effect of seeing it and understanding it, seeing it and knowing it, and seeing it clearly... It would be more ideal if the basic knowledge of various scripts could be sorted out into a tutorial from simple to complex |
