Out of admiration for all you experts, I installed FreeDos today.
But unfortunately, I also created the boot disk at the same time. When I restarted WinXP, I couldn't get in. The error message is "There is a defalty disk". Save me, oh god. |

How did you install it? Which boot manager did you use? Can you please tell me the process in detail?

I booted FreeDOS from the CD, and during the installation, I created the primary disk.

Is it a full grid? Is XP a clean install or a repair? Is the installation complete? What stage does it get stuck at when rebooting? Please be more detailed. Try using spfdisk to rewrite the MBR.

You are so vague, how can I help you? spfdisk is a graphical partitioning software in traditional Chinese, and it can be downloaded in this forum. MBR is the hard disk master boot record.

Great shrimp, I really don't know much.
I first formatted the F drive. When creating the partition, there are three options: 1. Create Maindisk 2. create extension disk, 3. both of the above. I chose 3. Finally, whether I restart or reinstall after formatting, it has never succeeded. |

You originally installed XP, right? Then it's already partitioned. What partition are you partitioning again? Can the original partition when installing XP be detected with other DOS boot disks? If not, try selecting Rebuild Partition Table with DiskGen (a partition software written by a Chinese person named Li Dahai).

Other software can detect the XP partition, but XP can't boot into it.

It is recommended to back up useful files in the hard disk, and then delete all partitions and recreate them.
