I'm a loyal WINDOWS user (all pirated copies). I only know a little about DOS too. I always hear people talking about Linux, so I want to learn it too. Does anyone have any study materials on it?? Post one, so everyone can learn~~

First install a Linux and get a feel for it. If you want to keep exploring it, go online and look for tutorials.

If you want to use it, Ubuntu is recommended; you can get CDs for free If you want to build a server, FreeBSD is recommended If you want to follow the trend, Fedora Core 5 is recommended

I suggest you honestly buy a printed textbook! If your self-discipline isn't enough, or your concentration is lacking, those things will do you harm! No offense.

I think REDHAT (RH for short) is easier for newbies to get started with, and most tutorials online are for RH. Also, RH books are the easiest to find in bookstores
