Today, I accidentally discovered that there is a directory "Window~1.11" in the MSDOS6.22 CD version I downloaded before. It contains 6 floppy disk self - extracting files. After taking a closer look at the instructions in the directory, it turns out that this is Windows 3.11.
As far as I know, "Windows 3.11" commonly mentioned online generally refers to "Windows for Workgroups 3.11", not the real "Windows 3.11". Although it did exist, it is rarely found online!
The instructions during the installation said it was Windows 3.1, and the boot screen after installation was also Windows 3.1. But after entering the system, it was found that the version description of each system - built program was "Windows 3.11". This shows that this system is neither "Windows 3.1" nor "Windows for Workgroups 3.11"!
Experts, please give your advice. Is this Windows 3.11?
