It's a text editor that can be run in the command prompt? Also want to relive DOS.

No, I mean, is there [edit] in cmd under winXP, not under DOS. I want to relive the feeling of DOS under winXP again. That edit can only run at 640*480, it's boring.

There is no special text editor. Anyway, you can use notepad.

There are plenty under Windows, but I really want to use it in cmd... So I want to see if anyone knows ^_^

It seems there are no DOS - style editors under Windows, but DOS EDIT can be used under Windows.

I don't know if it means the Win32 Console - style editor? Or something else? If so, you can try the TSE version 4.4 running in the command prompt:

Yes, it's the console - way editing. Just now I downloaded tse and installed it, but it doesn't support Chinese at all, all are garbled codes. Forum host, is there any one that supports Chinese relatively well?

Thanks, but I can't download tde (it just gets stuck there, and it doesn't say the server can't be found). I can't find it on Baidu either. If it's not too big, can the chief administrator post it here?

Vim is so troublesome. Last time I spent the whole afternoon, and I didn't even get the highlighting display done. For example, I want to display place names like Beijing, Hunan or some specific personal names in specific colors. How should I do it (in vim?)

tdew has been downloaded. Ask a question, how to "auto-wrap" or control the text to 80 lines? After I use "word wrap" there is no response. The help says I can use "line:80", but when I open an existing text file, it still doesn't wrap at 80 lines. How should I do it? Thanks
