The second point is function. Once the topic is set, you can begin laying out the framework in detail and decide what functions this boot disk should achieve, such as: support for long filenames, support for usb, support for ntfs read/write, loading mouse and CD-ROM support, and so on······Around the selected functions, choose and include the corresponding *.com and *.exe programs. This way, the flesh and blood of the boot disk will gradually fill out.
The third point is configuration, and this is quite important. Because dos does not care how much physical memory you have; it only gives you 640k of conventional memory to use. At this point we have to find ways to squeeze out its expanded or extended memory.
The fourth point is the ending. By this step, our boot disk should already have passed its own tests and achieved or basically completed the original idea. At this time, we need to make a documentation file. Explain in detail the special features of this boot disk. It can also finally raise our sense of achievement to a whole new level.
