As the title says.

Both mouse drivers should be pretty good, but comparatively speaking, which one is better?

I loaded them separately under DOS, and found that with the mouse.com driver, using the mouse feels more natural.

It’s just that mouse.com is a bit larger, and I don’t know how its memory usage is.

The mouse.com in the attachment was compressed with UPXShell; its original size was about 23K.

mouse.com sometimes cannot drive a USB mouse, while ctmouse.com can; ctmouse cannot drive a serial mouse, while mouse.com can; for PS/2 mice, both can drive them.

I’ve been playing with windows 1.0x in bochs these past two days. Since windows 1.0 only supports serial mice, I used bochs to emulate a serial mouse, and found that under DOS in the virtual machine, ctmouse could not drive this mouse, while mouse.com could.

ct is better. You can load it with ctmouse >nul, and the world becomes very quiet.
But try loading mouse >nul...

For ctmouse, is 1.9 better to use or 1.91?

My old computer used a serial mouse, and CTMOUSE can drive it. If it’s under a virtual machine, then it may be a compatibility issue.

I used some of them, but in the end I still chose Microsoft’s mouse. No matter how strongly the others boast, a bit of compatibility trouble is still unavoidable.
As for compression, I don’t think it’s necessary, because a compressed program needs to be decompressed again when it runs.
