While using Fdisk to repartition the hard disk, maybe because the partition deletion order was wrong or for some other unknown reason, it caused the extended partition to become undeletable. But the primary partition can be deleted, logical partitions can be created on the extended partition, and logical partitions can also be deleted, but the extended partition itself just cannot be deleted. DOS cannot recognize the hard disk, and it cannot be FORMATed.
Please, any expert familiar with FDISK, help me out. Many thanks! |

ms's fdisk has to be used in order. When creating partitions, it must be:
primary boot partition -> extended partition -> logical partition, and when deleting, you must delete: primary boot partition -> logical partition -> extended partition, so if you haven't deleted the primary boot partition, you won't be able to delete the extended partition. If you use SPFDISK, then you don't have to follow the order. |
