What does "can't afford" mean? Can you be more specific? It is suggested to first read the installation instructions file.

Is there a consideration to make an automatic installation version? It's best to be like the MSDOS 6.22 CD version downloaded online. That's the most convenient DOS system I've ever seen for installation.

Is it necessary to be so complicated? Just use the DOS in WINDOWS ME to do it, make it 8.0, have a larger IMG to store, now many people have USB drives, and it's also convenient to burn a bootable CD. Also, require that the installation prompts be written in Chinese! Directly make a full version of the IMG image file, make a SETUP batch file, and the installation process is equivalent to copying files.

Write a program that allows creating an NT boot record in the DOS environment, and cooperate with the FDISK /MBR command. Users can choose to use a multi-choice menu or directly install. If there are 9X series systems, provide special options integrated into the system.

The DOS in WINDOWS ME is definitely not suitable, with too poor compatibility. It doesn't even support Win3.x and EMM386, and is even inferior to FreeDOS.

It is necessary for a formal installation program to have various installation options to meet the needs of different users, and cannot be the same for everyone. At least I don't see which of these options can be omitted. Whether it's startup settings or code page selection, etc., they are all useful (for example, when the French install, they often need to select the French code page to support the French keyboard, and it's different for other countries, etc.). If you want to achieve unattended installation, you also need to pre-set the required installation options in the installation settings file, and then the installation program can perform automatic installation. Therefore, there is no truly completely automatic installation version. In any case, the user needs to set the installation options (whether pre-set before installation or selected during installation), otherwise it is impossible to be suitable for the needs of various users.
