Propose to establish the "DOS Union Forum Software On-demand Area" - China DOS Union Forum

Due to space limitations of the forum, only a few small attachments can be released, which is far from meeting the needs of DOS enthusiasts. Now it is proposed that all netizens brainstorm to provide a free download space for the forum as the "DOS Union Forum Software On-demand Area". The requirements are as follows:
1. This space must be stable, have fast download speed, support multi-threading and multi-user download. The size is about 100MB.
2. This download area is maintained by several administrators. According to the requirements of netizens, software is rotated and updated irregularly.
3. When netizens need any software, they can put forward requirements in each section. Those who have this software and are willing to provide it can request the administrator to upload it. And attach a virus detection report, a brief description, and compress it in RAR or ZIP format to save space. After the administrator confirms, it is uploaded and provided for netizens to download, and the provider is given several points.
4. If there is really no space, can the administrator make it into a torrent and release it to netizens for download in P2P forms such as eMule or BT? Netizens are welcome to post with any good ideas.

It is better to simply suggest reorganizing the software in the "New DOS Era" site. I wonder if the forum and the website use the same space. If so, the attachments uploaded in the forum can be sorted out and all concentrated in the website, which is also convenient for people to find and download.

Regarding "updating software on an irregular rotation", I don't know how it is updated. If it means the version update of the same software, that's very good. But if it means the update of different software, then it's not good. It's very possible that when someone wants a certain software, it's already gone.

The homepage space I'm using now is from WWW.IK8.COM. This free space is very large, claiming 1G. The free space doesn't support server scripts and can only be made into a static WEB page download mode.

But I haven't tried whether I can upload non-webpage and non-image files, and I don't know the single file limit. Now it seems that this server hasn't had major problems yet, but the speed is hard to guarantee.

However, for DOS software, the files are relatively small. And I see that the software download volume of the current forum is also not large. It's still relatively suitable.

Choose an administrator to apply for a space first, and also back up the provided download files on your own hard drive, just in case it suddenly goes down one day.
