Re Kinglion:
I think you misunderstood Brother DOSforever's meaning. QQ may be leaked, not only the content of communication, but also the data on the user's local hard drive, which is the fundamental reason why most people fear and dislike it. In fact, it is understandable and even worthy of encouragement to use instant messaging tools for knowledge exchange, because its efficiency is still beyond that of emails, forums, blogs, etc. As for its defects such as high mobility that is easy to cause information loss, high speed that leads to reduced information value, narrow communication range, etc., I think it can be compensated by regularly saving and organizing valuable communication records. There should already be sufficiently mature solutions in this regard. However, instant chat tools do not have to use QQ. Even though it is the most widely used, other chat tools can also be included. For example, Wengier may use MSN because it is very inconvenient to use QQ there, and tools and forms such as GoogleTalk, or even chat rooms can be used for discussion. And to realize the instant communication of a group, it is not simply achieved by applying for a "group". Topic distribution, record organization, order maintenance, etc. all require certain skills and experience, which is a test for the manager of the "group". Of course, if you just want to gather some DOS enthusiasts and simply solve some problems with others, you don't need to think too much. Apply for a "group" or other organizational form by yourself, and then gather popularity with your prestige or enthusiasm. [ Last edited by willsort on 2006-4-6 at 01:22 ] |

Kimnine, Kimnine, how nice, heh heh heh... ![]() Let me tell you, I wanted to come in and say hi to you when you first posted that thread, but I couldn't reply then?! Damn it, really made me mad. There's also a cute guy with the same avatar as you, Xiao D, which is defrag, remember? Haven't seen him in a long time, he was pretty lively and cute before too ![]() As for why I suggested everyone not to use QQ, "Xiaotian" has explained it perfectly for me ![]() |

Personally, I think as long as you access the network, there is a possibility of information leakage at any time. It's not only QQ that may cause leakage. Computers connected to the Internet need to take corresponding protective measures to protect information from being stolen. Of course, this is a topic related to security. As for QQ, which has a large user base, there are indeed various problems, but this doesn't affect our communication. Moreover, every software may have security vulnerabilities.
Of course, I didn't create the group to gather popularity. I also spend very little time online. Even many times, my colleagues help me log in to QQ. |

But the information leakage of QQ is different from the ordinary information leakage caused by the design flaws of software. It is an intentional, should be said malicious behavior. (Although it has not been officially confirmed so far, I myself have also encountered the situation that I didn't receive the contact information sent by others)
There is another thing I saw in the newspaper. It is said that a lady of a certain company often used (whether it was MSN or QQ, I forgot, but it must be one of them) for business contact and chatting with netizens. Suddenly one day she found that she couldn't log in, and received a notice from the software company that her account was temporarily suspended because she accessed some sensitive information. Whether the person concerned accessed some sensitive information or not, we won't pursue it for the time being, but this is enough to show that "some" instant messaging software is monitored. We have seen the contributions of Brother (or Sister?) Kinglion to the DOS forum and his enthusiasm for everyone. I am not against setting up a chat organization, but I want everyone to recommend a better instant messaging software. However, borrowing a sentence from Xiao Wen, "If there are any problems, it is more convenient to post in the forum, and it can be convenient for others to learn and collect, etc." This is also my idea. Moreover, most chat rooms are mostly for idle chatting, which is not interesting. |

Even Windows operating systems have many vulnerabilities and backdoors! MSN isn't necessarily secure either. QQ is just domestic. People who fawn on foreign things only discriminate and slander. Can you be sure it's a virus? If so, its stock price will definitely drop! But I agree with the view that "chat rooms are mostly for idle chatter and nonsense"!

DOSforever:
To be absolutely safe, there is a way: unplug the network cable! Remove the CD drive, floppy drive, flash drive interface, etc.! Lock the computer in an iron house to prevent radio leakage of your secrets! :P |

Re: wwwsky
I said, I don't care whether it's domestic or not. I originally used QQ not because it's domestic. But I feel it's baffling that you think this is an expression of being媚外discriminatory and slandering. By that logic, can I say that people who like QQ are媚中? There are many vulnerabilities in Windows, which is not strange. Strictly speaking, any software has vulnerabilities and errors, but what I said earlier is that this is two different things: deliberately collecting and leaking user information. You say Windows has backdoors, maybe there are, but no one has produced direct evidence so far, not even unsubstantiated evidence like with QQ. If these behaviors of QQ are confirmed, then I think it's a virus, just like I thought 3721 was a virus before, but my opinion doesn't matter. The stock price of Tencent won't drop because I think it's a virus. Even if a few professionals think it's a virus, it won't drop. Because I think you should know better than me whether the Chinese stock market operates according to the market. |

Even the moderators were tired of deleting posts. He hasn't visited for a long time, and the forum has been much quieter .Whether QQ carries Trojans is true or not, I can't verify it for the time being. I usually use QQ, and I'm also using the 2006 version now, but I never found anything abnormal. Maybe my computer is protected by a firewall and antivirus software. But I absolutely believe that QQ may leak personal information and data. My friends around me have all experienced it, and I have also witnessed it. Also, there are too many useless things attached to QQ, which are of no benefit. In addition to using QQ and MSN, I also use mIRC - a chat tool with a longer history than QQ and MSN. When I was a translator in an anime subtitle group, I used it to chat with friends from all over the world. |

I have just done a little thing that I think should be done, and there is nothing to brag about. The original intention of me setting up the group is also to facilitate communication. For specific questions, I also support posting them on the forum first for everyone to learn and solve together. That also makes it convenient for everyone to solve similar problems well in the future. I also very much agree with the sentence "Most chat rooms are mostly for casual chatting", and it is indeed the case. |

It is understandable that people use different chat software due to different personal preferences. Others can't force it. Moreover, no matter whether software is domestic or foreign, there is no saying which is better or worse. They all have their own advantages and disadvantages. Loving to use foreign software is not necessarily kowtow to foreign things. DOS was also developed by foreigners, right? |

After all, many friends are using it to communicate and contact with their friends. As for QQ possibly leaking personal information and data, I personally don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. As long as you do a good job in prevention for things you think are important. Besides, using other chat software is not necessarily safe. In addition, the online world is the same as the real world, and sincerity is also needed to win respect. It's not necessarily a bad thing that personal information is known by others. |
