Under Windows 98, suddenly two more drives appeared (unreadable). My drives go up to H. When I used PartitionMagic, I saw that drives E and F are unreadable. It's the same under Windows 2000; drives E and F are also unreadable. What should I do?

Maybe the partition table is damaged. Use SPFDISK to check if the partition is correct. If the partition size is okay, check if the ID of the partition TYPE is correct. If everything is okay, use SPFDISK to force overwrite and then see.

Under Windows 98, the E drive and F drive are still readable, but there are additional I and J drives. However, when viewed with Magic Partition, I and J drives are not visible, and it's seen that E and F drives are no longer readable. I haven't used spfdisk.

What are the E drive and F drive? What was the original drive allocation and size?

Previously, using a low - version SFDISK caused a similar problem in my system. Later, I forcibly changed the TYPE ID with SPFDISK, and then it was fine.

TYPE ID is the partition type, such as FAT32/16/LINUX, etc. For example, the extended partition is like 0F, and partitions exceeding 1024 CLY are like 0C, etc.
