To all you Windows users:
I heard that starting from June this year, Microsoft will abandon development of the Windows 9X system, and put all its energy into the development of Windows 2000 and XP. This means the vast number of Win 9X users will no longer be able to continue upgrading the system! I wonder whether this news is good or bad for ordinary users? I think it is both good and bad: the good thing is that users can finally openly give Win 9X major surgery; the bad thing is that users can no longer patch up their own Win 9X, because no new patch programs will be developed anymore!
Microsoft really knows how to do business. They found that the Windows 9X system has so many vulnerabilities, and were afraid of spending huge sums to fix them one by one, so they simply abandoned it. Doesn't that just throw off their burden?
I wonder what all you Windows users think; lively discussion is welcome!
