Everyone:
Since this is the Simplified Chinese edition of the “China DOS Union,” users shouldn't be posting in Traditional Chinese here, because some people won't be able to read it clearly or understand it!

Can't read Traditional Chinese? You really should learn it. After all, it is a treasure of all Chinese people and should not be abandoned. Especially now, when Chinese people all over the world are strengthening communication on the Internet, it should all the more coexist and be mutually exchanged and integrated.

Can't read it?? But I've already tried my best to post using the way you Chinese speak!! You call 硬碟 "硬盤", so I've followed your way of calling it too. If there are still people who can't understand my posts, I will improve

Isn't using Simplified Chinese GB2312 code better?

Do you mean Traditional Chinese characters in GB2312 code?

We use Big5 code. If we absolutely have to use Simplified Chinese GB2312 code, we can only rely on Word to translate it.

Of course Simplified Chinese GB2312 is best!
Actually, I can read Traditional Chinese too. After all, I'm Chinese. It's just that the strokes in Traditional Chinese are too complicated, so it's hard to read clearly.

Then every time I post, do I have to use Word first to convert it into Simplified Chinese??

If it's troublesome, then no need to convert it. Just leave it as it is.

Actually, having IE display Traditional Chinese isn't troublesome at all. Everyone can just install a Traditional Chinese font library and that solves the problem. I think since we're all Chinese, as long as we can communicate, why make friends go to the trouble.

Exactly. Even AW97 can display those Traditional Chinese characters when going online under pure DOS (they're GBK Traditional Chinese characters, while CCDOS97 can't display them, because what they posted isn't Traditional Chinese in BIG5 code).

IE4-IE6 all use the same set of fonts. Just DOWN a standalone Simplified or Traditional Chinese font set for IE4 and install it, and then you can see both Traditional and Simplified Chinese at the same time.

That's right, I also had to install the Simplified Chinese fonts before I could see Simplified Chinese.

Traditional, then Traditional,
Simplified, then Simplified.
Doesn't matter.
As long as it can be understood, that's enough.
