Fortunately, on this forum I found the patched driver for the CardBus USB 2.0 card, the usbenba.exe one.
Before this I basically knew nothing about config.sys... I only just read some posts and understood some of the basic functions of this file
But because I got a CardBus USB 2.0 card for the laptop, I want to use a USB flash drive as a boot disk so this card can work under DOS (USB2.0), mainly to deal with things like installing the system, because the computer itself does not have an optical drive, and its own interface is USB1.1, so installing a system is unbearably slow... that's why I'm messing with this
So, experts, if I want this card plugged into the PCMCIA slot to work (I already downloaded the DOS driver for the PCMCIA port, IBMDSS14.SYS and IBMDOSCS.SYS), and then have an external USB optical drive or mobile hard disk work at USB2.0 speed, how should I write config.sys and autoexec.bat? I've been fiddling with it for ages, and still haven't succeeded...
