Who has the SPT under UCDOS - China DOS Union Forum - China DOS Union

Remember the era when the DOS system dominated many years ago. UCDOS bundled the WPS word processing system and the SPT mixed graphics and text layout system. After not touching the computer for many years, Windows has taken the lead. But I have always remembered the first mixed graphics and text layout system I encountered. But now no matter what search engine I use, I just can't find SPT. Is there any collector who still has this software and can share it?

In my memory, UCDOS has never come with SPT, but it was in ACIOS China Dragon/HOS Huizhilong.

Thanks, Brother Ben. Your SPT indeed requires ACIOS. But when I was in college, I had never heard of China Dragon; back then there was only CCDOS, but the display effect was extremely poor (not comparable to today's CCDOS97. I still don't know if there's any inheritance relationship between the CCDOS back then and today's Chengran CCDOS97). UCDOS came later and had a much better effect. In my feeling, it was like day and night. So after UCDOS came out, CCDOS was used less. UCDOS didn't initially bundle SPT. I remember it was around the 1991 or 1992 version that it started bundling SPT. I can't remember the specific version number. Also, the SPT you posted only has two files (.com and.EXE). I remember there were several files for SPT back then, and there were also OVL files called overlay files. I don't have ACIOS, so I can't run the SPT you posted. I don't know if it's the SPT from back then. If you have it, could you send me an ACIOS? Thanks.

I have UCDOS 3.1/5.0/6.0. I got in touch with computers relatively late, it was 1993. It seems like I don't remember having SPT?! I'll look for it carefully.

SPT is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) typesetting system from Kingsoft. UCDOS (from Hope Technology) purchased Kingsoft's WPS 2.0 and improved it to WPS 2.2, which does not include SPT. I used SPT in Kingsoft's SPDOS 5 and SPDOS 6, but did not use SPT in SPDOS NT.

What was taught in class: A certain version of CCDOS, SPDOS 5.0
What I used at that time: CCDOS 2.13H (this CCDOS has nothing to do with what was taught in class), SPDOS 5.0, 6.0, NT 1.0, NT 2.0, UCDOS 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, 5.0
What I used later: TWAY 3.0, 3.1, ACIOS 4.0, UCDOS 6.0/7.0, CCDOS 97 (Oh my god, the third kind of CCDOS, derived from TWAY), PDOS 98
What I only heard about: TWAY 1.X, CXDOS, etc.
