The China DOS Union's new DOS forum has achieved quite a lot and also exposed quite a few problems since its development up to now. So, a redesign is inevitable.

First of all, the interface. I think there are three problems with the interface:

First, the art design. The interface is too single and has no personality and characteristics.
The solution is to ask art experts to design, and invite the registered users of this site to express their opinions freely, and come up with their own plans or ideas. My view is that we must emphasize the characteristics of DOS, so that people can tell at a glance that it is a website related to DOS, and it must be simple, beautiful, vivid and generous. The author who selects the plan will be given a certain status or reward by the webmaster in this forum.

Second, the font. The font display is not clear and the beauty is not good.
The solution is to replace other fonts.

Third, the level. The display of the interface is too straightforward and has no depth.
The solution is to add some display methods. Such as floating bars, animations, etc. ---

I quite agree with the first two points, but I think the third point is not appropriate because if there are animations, it not only affects the forum speed but also looks strange. By the way, the forum's short message service does need to be revised.

The second issue I think is in the aspect of the forum's auxiliary functions. One is that the search function needs to be strengthened. Often, the topics that users need to search for are not remembered in great detail, so the function of fuzzy search should be strengthened.

The functions of the user control panel can be expanded a bit. After users log in, they should be able to be invisible at any time.
Only these have been thought of for the time being. I hope everyone will add.

Regarding the SMS function, the current moderator size is 600 bytes (ordinary members are 300 bytes). It's best to use the Ctrl+C key to COPY the text before sending it, just in case.

Regarding the number of posts that users have posted topics or replies, and the fuzzy search function, I really can't find the place to modify it. Only the administrator Sui Feng Shun can make the modification.

The 300 bytes for ordinary members I think is too little. It can be more. Otherwise, the problem of ordinary members' text messages will always not be solved.

The third question is about the division of sections. I have a preliminary idea, but I still want to wait and see everyone's opinions.

Well, the SMS size for general users has been increased to 500 bytes, and for moderators, it's 1000 bytes.
