I also have some doubts. It seems that 5.5 is the final DOS version, but I once saw a very beautiful nc in a book that can directly display long filenames (such as directly displaying Program Files, which is much better than vc). It seems to be nc60, but I can't find it anymore. That interface is really beautiful, but I just can't find it anywhere.

It's just 5.5. It seems there's no 6.0. Also, there are too many file managers imitating NC, so it's inevitable to make a mistake.

It won't be a misjudgment because the author said so, and the title also has the words "nc left". I suspect whether nc had... but that's very strange. Because no matter how I search, I haven't seen any news about this!

Most of those nc files are from around 96-10-01, so they should be products of that time. And they are installed in the "program files" folder, or are they Windows programs?

The screenshot is a DOS window, but strangely, there are horizontal color-like Windows scroll bars. A window can probably display about 13 characters, maybe it can be adjusted.

I really want this software, but it seems I've never heard of it, and no one has seen it, heh heh. It's a helpless thing.

According to what you said, it should be Norton Commander For Windows 1.0. As far as I know, the highest version of the DOS version is only 5.5, and this version doesn't seem to be a retail version, but seems to be a leaked version. Also, the 5.5 version can display long file names under Windows as well.
