There are many help files in hlp format under DOS. Is there a corresponding decompiler to extract the text from them?

Re electronixtar: You can use the HelpMake.exe, a help file compilation and decompilation tool under DOS. It is generally included in various language development environments under DOS released by Microsoft. The version 1.05/1.08 uploaded here is extracted from QBASIC 7.1 and MASM 6.11. Currently, there is an issue with the website attachment upload. It will be uploaded here after contacting the administrator to resolve the problem. I used the downloaded hl108.exe to decompile a help file, which is the help file of the 32-bit DISKEDIT. The command line format is: HL108/D [D\...\DISKEDIT.HLP Failed! Screen prompt: \diskedit.hlp not a valid help file Stop.

Using HelpMake.exe, which is available in QB7.1, and there are related help. But after decoding, it seems that the format is problematic. When encoding again into HLP, it is different from the original help file in display format. Is there a solution?
