The driver program usbaspi.sys has good support for USB devices, especially for mobile hard drives. Basically, it can be correctly recognized after adjusting parameters and can support USB 2.0.
But during its development, it took four years and at least five companies were involved successively, resulting in numerous versions and being very chaotic. File compression has also caused great difficulties in distinguishing them. Some driver collectors have mistakenly regarded other USB driver programs as belonging to the usbaspi series.
I have sorted out the usbaspi series driver programs at hand for everyone to compare and refer to and identify the versions.
The seven versions I found are:
42952 USBASPI1.SYS 1.03 2000 KYUSHU MATSUSHITA
43296 USBASPI2.SYS 1.06 2001 NEC
43528 USBASPI3.SYS 1.07 2001 NOVAC
37090 USBASPI4.SYS 2.01 2002 Medialogic
37903 USBASPI5.SYS 2.06 2003 Panasonic
39093 USBASPI6.SYS 2.15 2003 Panasonic
39179 USBASPI7.SYS 2.20 2004 Panasonic
