Hello everyone, lately I wanted to revisit a DOS classic—Flame Dragon 2. But under Win2000 there's neither sound effects nor music. I had both before under Win98, and my friend also has them under WinXP. It's just Win2000. Is there any way to fix this? Preferably something simple; dual-boot seems a bit too complicated for me. Can Virtual PC do it? Or should I just use a DOS boot disk? (I'm using a Toshiba laptop.) Many thanks!

Win98 uses pure DOS, WinXP has virtual SB 2.0 support, but Win2K does not, so you need software like VDMSound.

Thanks for the advice. I have sound now. But for some reason, the game has become very slow, and the music also has a big delay. It's stretched out. Although this laptop is only a P2-300 with 96 RAM, it should be more than enough for a 1994 game like this. Sigh~~ If vdmsound2 doesn't work, does anyone have an older version? (vdmsound1)? thx!
