I think that for each forum section, having too broad a scope may not necessarily be a good thing. It might be better to make the scope smaller but more refined. For example, how about having several DOS sections like the following:
DOS learning / newbie guide DOS boot disks / LOGO technology DOS multimedia technology DOS programming / development Special DOS discussions Use of USB devices under DOS ... And so on. What do you think? |

DOS multimedia technology and the use of USB devices under DOS can be merged into a “DOS driver section.” Special DOS discussions can also be merged with the off-topic posting section; it doesn’t have to be “special topics”—as long as it revolves around DOS-related subjects, people can discuss them freely and broadly. A Chinese DOS section is absolutely indispensable. That’s all I can think of for now; if I get new ideas, I’ll mention them later.
