Nowadays many bootable CDs let the user choose whether to boot from the hard disk or the CD when booting the system. How is this done? I looked at the image file inside, and it seems there is an extra file called jo.sys. Ordinary DOS boot disks usually only have these two files, io.sys and msdos.sys. Please give me some guidance, experts.

Neither is right! jo.sys is actually another piece of software! Made by a foreign expert!

Not necessarily. The Win98 CD boot disk also comes with JO。SYS, it's Microsoft's own.

There is no need to modify IO。SYS。 As long as there is JO。SYS on the boot disk, IO。SYS will load it automatically.
