The Japanese People's Sweet Dream

(A hugely popular post on a Japanese BBS)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brief explanation: This is a hugely popular post on a Japanese BBS. Thanks to an anonymous netizen for translating it. In the spirit of “wonderful writings should be appreciated together, doubtful points should be analyzed together,” I am reposting it on the forum to give everyone a clear understanding of “Japan,” this beastly country, and also to let everyone understand what our one-sided so-called “Japanese people” and “Sino-Japanese friendship” really are!

The full text is as follows:

Because of Japan's special geographical location and lack of resources, the ultimate form of our country's development is destined to be: launching war! I have always believed that we Yamato people are the finest people in the world. A strong sense of crisis and realism are the spiritual sources that support the nation's constant innovation and development; this is the uniquely striving spirit of the diligent and wise Yamato people.
However, the world is so unfair to us. Some inferior peoples occupy vast stretches of fertile land, yet cannot make full use of those precious resources, while we, possessing advanced technology, mature experience, and united will, can only guard barren land and sigh in vain across the sea. The latent crisis has made us realize that in this modern forest called the world, where resources are limited and cruel struggle is everywhere, only by maintaining vigorous fighting spirit and proper wildness can a nation gain fundamental survival. This is the law of survival on earth, this is the reality faced by the diligent and wise Yamato people. The fate of an island nation will ultimately be destruction beneath the sea, and the lack of resources will cause the complete severing of the nation's driving force for progress. Our only way out is military expansion, using the bravery, wisdom, and spirit of the Yamato people to conquer Asia and conquer the world.
To wash away the shame of the holy war's failure decades ago, and use the superiority of the Yamato people to control the inferiority of other peoples, thereby driving the progress of the whole world. This is the mission entrusted by the Emperor to the people of Japan; this is the holy war carried out to defend the noble dignity of the Yamato people!
From the holy war decades ago in which we attempted to conquer the world, we drew two lessons:
  1. Before completely conquering Asia and consolidating our position, we should not provoke America.
In the new century, America should be a very good partner and helper for us in realizing the conquest of Asia, although in the holy war of conquering the world, it will be our enemy.
  2. When destroying a large country like China, one must not be too hasty and swallow it in one bite, but should eat it like sashimi, one slice at a time.
China is different from Japan; it is a country mixed with many ethnic groups and has many contradictions within itself. Their internal divisions and differences should be exploited to split this country apart, and then eliminate them one by one. Xinjiang, Tibet, Qinghai, Ningxia, Manchuria and others should all become independent autonomous countries. The basis for splitting these regions is their unique ethnic character. This is the so-called theory from abroad that China should be divided into seven parts; specifically for us it is the “Plan to Split China.” This is one part of our holy war to conquer Asia and destroy China. In China, only the Han people in the east have the ability to hinder us. Therefore, if China is split into seven or several countries, the strength of the Han people will be greatly weakened, and their room for strategic maneuver will also be greatly reduced. The destruction of China and the revival of the Japanese Empire will then not be far away!
And so long as China is conquered, we will have obtained the foundation for conquering Asia. The other countries will submit to us under the example of the tamed Han people. Only in this way will we have the capital to crush America and dominate the world. Of course, the western development strategy of China's Han people will present a certain obstacle to this issue, but we should not give up our efforts to split China! Because launching the holy war is our only way out. If Japan wishes to conquer the world, it must first conquer Asia; if it wishes to conquer Asia, it must first conquer China; if it wishes to conquer China, it must first split and weaken China.
Japan is an island country with a small area and very little room for military maneuver. Only by developing a powerful imperial fleet can the empire's future needs for the holy war be realized.
The strategic steps of the “Great Japanese Empire National Revival Holy War Plan”:
  I. Destroy China, conquer Asia
To destroy China, one must first split and weaken China: under our efforts, Taiwan has already been split away. Next, we should take absolute control of Taiwan. Even by doing so, we have only completed the first step of the “Plan to Split China”; Xinjiang, Tibet, Manchuria and others still have a long road ahead. But reality has not given us that much time. In recent years Japan's economy has become relatively saturated, and development has become relatively weak. With the existing technology and level, Japan's development has reached its limit.
If we do not launch the holy war soon, Japan's economy, supported by no resources whatsoever, will eventually collapse.
However, in our attempts to split western China, the Chinese government seems already to have noticed our plan, and has formulated the “Western China Development Strategy.” This strategy, which has the effect of ethnic assimilation, not only has an important economic purpose, but also a major strategic purpose. This is bound to strangle our splitting plan. But things always have an opposite effect, because as Han people migrate into western minority regions, contact, assimilation, contradictions, and friction between Han people and minorities will certainly all increase and coexist. For 5 to 10 years, the Han people will still not form absolute consolidation there. We can make use of this opportunity to create and stir up contradictions and frictions between Han people and minorities; the situation may develop in a direction favorable to us. Therefore the plan to split western China should be resolutely carried through. In addition, in our attempts to split Manchuria, we have met resistance from Korea. To this day Korea still does not allow a single soldier of our great Japanese Imperial Army to set foot on Korean soil. This will inevitably obstruct our control over the Korean Peninsula and slow the process of splitting Manchuria and Mongolia. As for Korea's resistance, diplomatic means can be used to ease the tension, and if necessary America's pressure can be used. As for Korea, American and South Korean military pressure can be used.
Chinese intervention is possible. Since splitting cannot be realized so quickly, and time does not permit us to continue delaying, we should at the proper time use the mighty fleet of the Great Japanese Empire, taking advantage of a Taiwan Strait conflict or a second Korean War to destroy China's huge though in fact not frightening fleet in one stroke. America will support the destruction of China's fleet, the people of Taiwan will also support it, and the countries around the South China Sea will be very willing as well. If successful, taking advantage of this action, we will be able to firmly control Taiwan and turn it into our military base.
Having lost sea and air power, the Chinese will then be too weak to do much in response to our suppression of Korea. And the image of the Chinese will be greatly damaged; their spirit and will shall suffer a severe blow. They will once again fall into fear under the threat of the great Japanese Imperial Army, and the authority of the ? government will be greatly reduced. From then on, the foundation on which China's stability depends will be broken. Taking the opportunity to stir up separatist forces in the various regions of China to launch movements for independence and national restoration, China will weaken itself without war.
And then we can rebuild the Kwantung Army headquarters of the great Japanese Imperial Army in Manchuria and Mongolia, preparing for the destruction of the remaining China under Han rule.
Another point is that there is no need to worry that impoverished Russia would send troops to interfere, because Russia too would welcome a moderate weakening of China. Through the Chechen War, it can also be seen that Russia's weakened military strength is no longer able to support a decent war.
It seems that establishing a powerful imperial fleet and legalizing overseas troop deployment are the primary conditions for launching the holy war.
  Schedule of the plan:
  1) In 2000, assist pro-Japanese elements in crushing ?, and support separatist forces in taking power. Because China fears American intimidation, with its current armament it still dares not rashly send troops to recover Taiwan, and can only appropriately expand its armaments while waiting for an opportunity. We can use this chance to increase our own armaments as well, striving over 4-5 years to strengthen the imperial navy, actively seek legalization of overseas troop deployment, and use economic easing to improve relations with Russia.
  2) March 2005, signal the Taiwanese authorities to announce the “Taiwan Independence Declaration,” provoking mainland China to attack Taiwan and causing the outbreak of the China-Taiwan war. At Taiwan's request, Japan dispatches military forces to aid Taiwan, occupies the Senkaku Islands (Diaoyu Islands), stations troops in Taiwan, and assists the Taiwanese army in combat; the Japan-U.S.-Taiwan joint fleet launches a surprise attack on the Chinese fleet and declares war on China. In October, China's fleet is destroyed and sea and air power are seized. Russia mediates through the United Nations, and China signs an armistice agreement with the three parties.
  3) December 2005, at Taiwan's request, Japanese forces obtain the legal right to be stationed in Taiwan and control the pro-Japanese ruling government. 4) January 2006, instigate China's ethnic separatists to launch movements for independence and national restoration, and China falls into internal chaos.
  5) March 2007, Taiwan issues a government statement: Taiwan voluntarily merges into Japanese territory. The Japanese government states that it will not accept this, but promises to provide it with due protection; Japan and Taiwan establish a military alliance.
  6) May-August 2007, the Japan-U.S.-Taiwan-Korea allied forces recover North Korea and declare Korean unification. 7) February 2008, the Taiwanese army counterattacks the mainland, and the Japan-Taiwan allied forces send troops into Manchuria and Mongolia. In May 2009, Chinese troops retreat inside the passes. Japanese forces occupy Manchuria and Mongolia, rebuild the headquarters of the Japanese Kwantung Army, and establish the fundamental basis for invading China.
  8) 2012-2015, launch a full-scale war against mainland China, destroy China, and build the foundation for dominating Asia.
II. Consolidate position in Asia, dominate the world
After destroying China, Japan should naturally become Asia's unquestioned leader. We must use the excellent spirit of the Yamato people to overawe the spirit of inferior peoples; eliminate their languages, customs, and extravagant way of life—that is, the inherent inferiority of inferior peoples; eliminate the existence of these peoples, eliminate everything about them, and have them instead learn everything from us. On their lands we must use our own way to cultivate Chinese Japanese, Taiwanese Japanese, and Korean Japanese, so that all of Asia will not only be unified into one country, but also unified into one people, namely the Yamato people. To achieve this goal depends on the mighty combined strength of the Yamato people, superhuman wisdom, and fearless spirit, and on completely conquering in their hearts the will of every Asian, making them identify with and revere our spirit, admire our striving, and completely submit beneath the feet of the Great Japanese Empire, making them infinitely loyal to us. Only then can we firmly grasp Asia and then conquer the whole world!
To conquer the world, relying only on the strength of the Japanese Empire is still far from enough; we also need some capable helpers and partners. America is the best partner with which to divide the world together. Use America to suppress Europe, help the Germanic fascist party in Germany regain power, and then use the Germanic Germans to conquer Europe. Facts prove that in the alliance signed for the holy war last time, allowing the Italians to join was a mistaken decision for Japan's holy war. The descendants of the Roman Empire have already lost the striving spirit of their forebears and have become ignorant inferior people, just like the Han and Tang people whom our forefathers admired, who have now degenerated into inferior Han people; they cannot escape the fate of being ruled. Finally, once we firmly control Asia and Germany and America control Europe, we can then join forces to destroy the CIS from two sides in one stroke.
The whole process will roughly require 30 to 50 years.

Japan too was once bullied by the Western powers, but through the Meiji Restoration it quickly entered capitalist society, and its national strength rapidly grew powerful. It became a strong country in Asia, but after developing, Japan was severely constrained by its geographic position and resources. For the prosperity of the Yamato people, adopting a policy of military aggression to expand the living space of the Yamato people can be said to have been inevitable in its development. Therefore, when Japan launched its war of aggression against China back then, it was not, as we imagine, merely directed by a small handful of militarists, but was supported by basically all Japanese people, including the Japanese Communist Party at the time, which also voted in favor!
From this piece, we can understand why Japanese militarist forces are so powerful, why Japan has all along tried every possible way to whitewash its crimes in invading China, refused to apologize for the war of aggression against China and crimes such as the Nanjing Massacre, and despite the unanimous opposition of Asian countries went ahead and rewrote textbooks, tried every possible way to spread the China threat theory, invested huge sums every year in military expansion, and why Japanese politicians such as Junichiro Koizumi seize opportunities to visit Yasukuni Shrine, where war criminals from World War II are enshrined. Because Japan has never abandoned its dream of swallowing China and dominating the world.
What we need to understand even more is that whether the Japanese people's sweet dream can come true does not depend on how great its ambition is, how thorough its planning is, or how far its military expansion has gone (though of course we must remain highly vigilant about that). It depends on whether our government can eliminate corruption and continue its strong leadership, whether the Chinese nation can maintain stability, unity, and solidarity, and work together to build our motherland well. It depends even more on whether our educational system can adapt to the needs of the times and cultivate generation after generation of qualified successors, so that in the end the Japanese people's sweet dream can only remain a pipe dream.
A nation is not merely a noun, but unfortunately our current education pays attention only to grades while neglecting things that are even more important. We must understand that whether it was Germany trying to annex the Soviet Union, Japan trying to annex China, or the Chinese nation resisting the invasion of the great powers to the death, the purpose was all for the permanent survival and prosperity of their own nation. The individual is like a weak ant, while a united nation is a powerful ant colony; the fate of the nation is also the fate of every individual!

I hate those little Japanese the most!
For economic considerations, the government began promoting Sino-Japanese friendship propaganda a long time ago. But in fact this is only our one-sided “beautiful” wish. Those little Japanese are thinking all the time about launching war against China. They will not be friendly with us.
I think patriotic education should be strengthened, and we must not forget how those little Japanese invaded us! This blood-deep hatred cannot be forgotten.
12.7, when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, is called a day of national humiliation for America. It will never be forgotten by Americans. But do all Americans still remember it now? The Americans even made a movie, Pearl Harbor, but to me it doesn't look like a commemorative film, rather a commercial movie, and it even has a lot of love stories in it! Relatively speaking, I think Tora! Tora! Tora! is more like a documentary.
Our own 1937.7.7 is also a day of national humiliation. How many people now know about the July 7 Lugou Bridge Incident? How many of the younger generation know about it? I seem to have seen somewhere that one of our world champions, the wife of some big shot in Hong Kong, a mainlander, didn't even know what Lugou Bridge was! Much less the Lugou Bridge Incident! And it seems she had even studied at some famous university in Beijing! And there was also that nationally famous Little Swallow who openly wore clothes with the Japanese military flag pattern on them!! They say she got beaten in Changsha—served her right!

We still haven't forgotten, but what about our descendants? I think we must teach our descendants to always remember the old debts and divisive ambitions of those little Japanese! Don't numb ourselves, we must always stay on guard against them! Those little Japanese are no good!

Remember that we are Chinese! Remember that traitors are the most despicable people! Remember that those little Japanese are our enemies, absolutely not some friendly good neighbors! We don't want any “Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.” If I signed up to join the army to fight those Japanese devils, I would definitely go!

That vast and mighty country China has repeatedly suffered humiliation at the hands of tiny little Japan. The fundamental issue does not lie in the Japanese people's so-called Yamato spirit, nor in how superior the Japanese nation is, but in our Chinese people's internal contradictions. People often say: one Chinese person is a dragon, ten Chinese people are worms. And there is a similar saying: one Japanese person is a worm, ten Japanese people are dragons. The ambition shown in that article is plain enough, but it also hits the nail on the head in pointing out the ingrained flaws of us Chinese. The Yamato people are not as outstanding as they boast (after all, Chinese blood still flows in their veins), but their spirit of constant striving and always pressing forward is plain for all to see. After World War II Japan almost lost the country, yet in forty years they created a world miracle. And what did we Chinese do in those forty years? The Great Leap Forward, boasting with “satellite” claims, the Cultural Revolution, you fight me, I criticize you—it was all carried out with tremendous fervor. Chinese people have always been good at civil war. Isn't China's five-thousand-year history likewise just a history of domestic wars? Look at Japan—how many times has their dynasty changed? From beginning to end they have had an emperor of the same bloodline. They put most of their time and energy into governing diligently and developing national strength. Given their resources, what an achievement it is that they have developed to where they are today.
Although in the twenty years since reform and opening up we Chinese have made great progress, now look again at China's current state: corruption, darkness, selfishness, and hypocrisy fill the whole society, especially the upper structure. On the surface there is prosperity, but underneath there is rot and chaos. I believe people who like soccer all feel this most deeply. China's soccer world only reveals so many deep things because comparatively speaking there is a bit more freedom of speech there; what about everywhere else? That is even more frightening, because you do not even have a chance to understand it. Isn't everyone worried about these things? If this continues for a long time, the country will decline of itself even without becoming weak! After all, internal troubles are worse than external disease!
Chinese people are too selfish, and our spirit of teamwork is too poor. I remember there is a saying: one Chinese software engineer is not as good as one Indian technical worker. Why? Because Chinese programmers like to do everything by themselves, so it is impossible to do it best, while Indian technical workers only need to fully play the role of a screw at their own position. Why is it that China cannot produce companies with influence in the world? No need to mention anything else—even just talking about our little DOS Union, we don't even dare to try merging, for fear of causing disagreements. So we have no choice but to go our own separate ways.
If China wants better survival and development, it must cast aside selfish motives and unite as one, especially with stability and integrity in the upper structure. Chinese people do not lack intelligence or talent, nor diligence or perseverance. So long as Chinese people can get rid of the shortcomings of acting on their own and fighting among themselves, how could a tiny country like Japan possibly shake us?

I've seen it, the title seemed to be <>.
And now China is actually going to use the Japanese pigs' Shinkansen technology. Pathetic.
