When I was studying in a vocational high school, I used WPS at school.

It's very compact.

Now in my boot disk, if I need text editing, I still use it, classic!

When I was a freshman, I told my classmates:

"The WPS with 7 files"....

They didn't believe it, they stared with wide eyes, didn't believe it????

For friends who use WPS under DOS,

I think just use it.

For friends who use WPS files under DOS, replace your previous WPS.

The only shortcoming, I checked information back then,

It seems there are some size restrictions on files,

But for normal users, this defect is hardly noticeable, no problem!

Thanks for the楼主's sharing! Just got in touch with the computer and saw it.

The LZ can tell me how to use it. I downloaded it and extracted it to the DOS root directory. After booting into DOS and entering WPS.EXE, it doesn't work. It prompts: ccdos have not be loaded! run ccdos. Is it because this software is not available?

Hmm, download one for collection.

But personally, I think Vim is easier to use for editing plain text, and the scripting engine in VI is also very powerful, which can completely replace the combination of batch processing + wbat.

The console - version of VIM does not support menu and mouse operations, and it is too cumbersome to remember function keys compared with most DOS/WIN editors.

I personally think that the essence of VIM lies in efficient, full keyboard operations using only basic key combinations. I never use the mouse when using gVim either, heh.

The commands in VIM are indeed numerous and complex. The user guide is more than 1000 pages, and the reference manual has even more pages. But usually, as long as you are flexible and master some basic commands, you can use it very powerfully. Once you fully master it, it's extremely enjoyable to use, heh.

BTW: VI seems to be the only editor that can run on almost any platform and operate fully functionally under remote Telnet/SSH.
