I have an old program written in FoxBase that calls a printing program written in GWbasic. It runs normally under DOS 6.22 (ucdos5.0), but after running under DOS 7.1, it automatically deletes the *.bas files. I don't know whether it's a bug in the program itself or a problem with MSDOS 7.1. Does any expert know how to solve it?

It shouldn't be a problem with MS-DOS 7.1. I guess it is caused by one of the following reasons:

FoxBase and GWBASIC both do not support long filenames or FAT32, so some functions may not work properly. That BASICA program of mine can't open any BAS files on a FAT32 partition.
MS-DOS 7.1 has some enhanced features, for example enhanced environment variables, so %A% represents the A variable, rather than a file extension of %A%.

But it would be best to send me that program so I can take a look, and tell me at what point during execution it automatically deletes the .BAS files, so I can try it out.
