I want to install the DOS system, but I don't have a floppy drive and no available CDs.
The important thing is that my system only has WinXP (already switched back to FAT32 format). I would like to ask if I can use a USB flash drive to install DOS under WinXP?
Thank you!

It seems that a floppy disk or CD is needed.

Use Usboot 1.67 to make the USB flash drive a bootable disk (preferably in USB-zip mode). Then set the first boot in CMOS to USB zip.

After U disk starts, it is C: (the U disk itself). Can this be installed to another disk and start normally?

It is selected in USB - zip mode (or C: which is the USB flash drive itself). Can the DOS installation program be copied to the USB flash drive and installed to D: (original C: drive) and then booted with DOS?

Try the following method: Boot with a USB drive, Format d:/s, then unplug the USB drive and restart.

It doesn't work. I've tried. The mainboard needs to support USB drive booting. In the first boot item in BIOS, the USB drive needs to be recognizable. For example: mine is recognized as AOMEGE (black box USB drive), then it can be used. What's said online about setting it to USB-zip mode,... That's all, it's not enough.

Solved.
Thank you everyone!
My motherboard can use the USB-FDD mode (floppy disk mode) of USBOOT, and after booting, it becomes A:.
