jo.sys has the options “Boot from hard disk” and “Boot from CD-ROM”. How can I add another option, “Boot from this (floppy) disk”? Also, when I opened jo.sys with UltraEdit, I found that unlike Config.sys, it is not a text file. How can I change its default time to 5 seconds?

JO.SYS was originally a program from a Microsoft CD. But it actually has quite a few shortcomings, such as the source code not being public, no way to add options, and so on. You can consider handling it in other ways, for example the GRUB method I used in a boot disk before, which is much more flexible and practical than using this JO.SYS.

Using GRUB is certainly possible. For example, GRUB for DOS is quite good, and can be run directly. As for the detailed way to make the menu options, you can refer to the boot disk with GRUB that I made before.

But it also depends on whether the OP's BIOS supports booting with GRUB!

If you haven't used GRUB before, I suggest learning how to use GRUB or looking into the GRUB boot disk made by the earlier moderators!
