How to set it to boot from the hard drive into DOS when starting up.
I want to set it so that when starting up, it can boot from the hard drive into DOS.
After copying IO.SYS, COMMAND.COM, MSDOS.SYS into the C drive, what else needs to be done?很急的, hope the expert helps!

Don't tell me to use SYS C: and FORMAT C:/S, I can't enter DOS. I'm currently hanging on someone else's machine via a USB interface.

A complete DOS system should include the boot sector program, IO.SYS, MSDOS.SYS, and COMMAND.COM. It's not a matter of placing the three files at the front. Higher - version DOS has removed this restriction. You need to rewrite the boot sector of the boot disk. But the disk parameters in the boot sector of each disk are different, so this approach is complicated.

You can download a super boot floppy disk. After booting, you can operate the USB - connected hard disk.

If you don't have such software, a feasible way is:
Install your hard disk on the USB of a Windows 98 machine, then install the USB universal driver. Wait until the hard disk is recognized, and then use the SYS command in Windows 98 to transfer the system to it.

If you can't find a Windows 98 machine, you can download the usboot.exe software and use it on XP to handle it, which can make your hard disk bootable. But it seems that it can only format a FAT16 partition with a maximum size of 2GB. But later you can use the disk management function of XP to divide the lost space into other partitions and then attach it back to your own machine.

If you are not satisfied with the disk space partition, you can also re - partition another partition on the premise that you can always ensure there is an activated partition containing the boot system.
