My laptop screen resolution is fixed at 800*600. After setting the resolution to 1024*768, the desktop is larger than the screen. Now it's really inconvenient to use the 800*600 desktop. Which expert can tell me how to set it?

Liquid crystal displays usually have an optimal resolution, and resolutions other than the optimal one are simulated. For example, the optimal resolution of an XGA liquid crystal display is 1024×768.

Maybe your notebook's maximum resolution is only 800*600, so after setting the resolution to 1024*768, the desktop becomes larger than the screen.
