China DOS Union

I made a 25M DOS boot image floppy and used it to make a boot CD.
The computer boots successfully from this CD, but now there is one problem:

After booting, the files in the image floppy are all on drive C:, that is, C: is used as the virtual floppy drive, not A:.
How should I handle the boot CD to change it to drive A:?

The bootable CD-ROM standard specifies that floppy disk images can only have three formats: 1.2M, 1.44M, 2.88M. So, it is impossible to make a 25M floppy boot image that conforms to the bootable CD-ROM standard.

I guess your 25M boot image has already been automatically converted by your ISO-making software into a bootable hard disk image, and that is why you are seeing this result.

To treat drive C: as drive A:, you can do it by using emulation. But obviously what you want is not emulation, but to have the image treated as drive A: when booting from the CD-ROM. That cannot be done, or rather, it cannot be done through the simple CD-ROM standard. Maybe some software can implement more functions on top of the standard, such as allowing large floppy image booting, but that is a more advanced topic. I have never dealt with it myself, so let's see whether anyone else replies to you.

But the Red Leaf disc still has a boot disk image of more than 8M.

What post #3 said is right, the boot disk cannot be larger than 2.88M.
After making it, you need to handle the boot disk commands with a batch file, and when burning you can add tools to the CD.
