ACE 2.04 supports long filenames. Its compression ratio is close to CAB, yet the speed is not slow. It can also be used as a file manager. After doslfn is loaded, its speed when copying long-name folders is I don't know how many times faster than DN2.7 and VC! Strongly recommended!

The latest ACE for DOS version is 2.6:http://www.winace.com/files/ace26.exe
I tried it a bit. Compared with other file managers, it's more convenient to operate, supports dragging with the right mouse button to select multiple files, and under DOS it only needs 1 file to run. Copying files and directories is very fast. VC may be the slowest. It can also extract solid archives made by WinRAR 3.6. It can completely replace other file managers.
