I tried it. First set my_ip=dhcp in WATTCP.CFG, then enter W3M -v http://dosbbs.2ya.com/ and it really can enter this forum. Unfortunately its control functions and help system are not as good as Lynx, and when viewing Chinese there is sometimes still some garbled text. How can this be solved?

W3M's support for webpage formatting and layout is obviously better than Lynx's, but unfortunately compared with Lynx it really has too many weaknesses as well. It would be great if they could be combined somehow.

The three questions I want to ask are:
1: How can I make W3M display Chinese without garbled text?
2: If using W3M to post in the forum (mainly meaning that I can't enter any content)?
3: How can I modify the shortcut keys (for example, J is down and K is up, which is really too hard to get used to)?
If these can be solved, I really am planning to use W3M to replace Lynx for posting on this forum.

1. Because w3m was originally developed under linux, and the linux console can be zoomed in and out, the developer seems not to have noticed this.
2. Press the key in a textarea, and the words "Text:" will appear below, then you can enter content.
3. You can download the source code from the developer's homepage http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lab/9247/ and modify the keys yourself.

But when I use W3M and press ENTER at "(post) content", it doesn't do anything, and I can't enter any content at all. In "username", "password" and other TextArea fields, after pressing ENTER I can enter text instead. Roy, can you modify its source code a bit to make it more practical?

Pressing ENTER at "(post) content" will call up an external text editor.
So you need to specify an external text editor in Options.
It seems DOS Edit can't be used.
I use TED 3.0.

Can it be used to view local files?

What needs to be set? IP?

j and k are vi-style usage; since wengier doesn't use vi, naturally he's not used to it.
