Question for you, expert: I read your post about setting up dual boot with DOS under WINXP, and it worked. First, thanks.
But I have a question:
1, After choosing to boot DOS, the WIN98 LOGO screen appears. I checked and it isn't loaded in MSDOS.
Although it doesn't affect anything, it still feels kind of strange.
Could you help answer this?

Is the msdos file empty? Not even a single character in it?

Add the following to MSDOS.SYS:

LOGO=0
BOOTGUI=0
and that'll do it.

Wow, you're here, I'm really happy
Let me ask you one more question:
1,In WPS under UCDOS, the interface is green text on a blue background. Can it be changed to white text on a black background
This question is a hard one, right?

Having one is correct; sys is required to execute jo.sys. At that time the 98 logo screen will flash, because the 98 logo is inside io.sys, so 98's io file is much larger than ME's. Actually, if you don't use jo, just empty out the msdos file.

JO.SYS generally doesn't do much either, because since the boot disk has already started, there's no need to skip it again.

I actually think JO.SYS is very useful. A lot of the time when booting from a CD, if you have to take out the CD or reset the BIOS before every startup, that's very troublesome. If you add JO.SYS, then just press Enter once at startup and you can boot from the hard disk.
I used to have a JO.SYS that let you choose whether to boot from floppy or from hard disk, but after reinstalling the hard disk system several times, I've lost it. If anyone has this JO.SYS, please provide one, thanks!

It worked fine when I tested it on my machine, so I'm afraid it's probably an io problem. Rewrite the io file, or solve it the way the site admin said.

jo.sys can be downloaded anywhere, it's in Clone Era.
