What I mean is, without using a hard drive, directly use a floppy drive to go online. It is within the local area network and automatically obtains an IP. Therefore, there is no need to set corresponding options, which can save some software and space. The function does not need to be powerful, just being able to browse web pages is okay. The network card is a common 8139. Can this be done? How should it be done?

I have had the plan to make a general - purpose Internet bootable disk these days, so that browsing and posting in this forum under DOS can be realized. For details, please refer to the posts in the "DOS Boot Disk/LOGO Technology" section.

I am currently testing the MSETUP operating system and have always been unable to access the internet, even though there is an https option in it. I have to assume that I can use a floppy disk to access the internet independently, leaving the hard disk aside. In this way, the hardware requirements can be greatly reduced.

There are many software that can realize this function, but they are not based on DOS, so it is not very appropriate to talk about them here. But you can try QNX, www.qnx.com, just one floppy disk is enough!
