In the UCDOS98 Special Edition, there is a special display driver and demo program, TX.com, which is very compact and attractive. Unfortunately it can only run under UCDOS. Is there any expert who can compile it for use as a screen saver on a boot disk?

Is this a screen saver under DOS? How do you run it?

How come I found that this WT.SCR is a text file, and it's actually an article, entirely in Chinese (looks like an essay).

Hmm, yes, it's a text file. Sorry, everyone, I didn't test it carefully.

wengier, do you have any screen savers under DOS? Upload one and let us have a look.
I think DOS screen savers could also be a strong remedy for the monotony of the DOS interface. Could this be promoted a bit?

The DOS screen saver I usually use is Phantom. The interface is nice, and it has lots of functions too, but it's rather large, so it doesn't seem very suitable for putting on a boot disk. Also, programs like Volkov Commander come with pretty good screen saver functions. I also use some DOS programs that automatically turn off the monitor after a certain time, such as DPMSAVE. I wonder whether those would be suitable for putting on a boot disk?

Phantom is pretty good, but unfortunately it's too big. I'm already using dpmsave on another one of my boot disks. The one in VC is rather simple, but the code must be small enough. Can it be separated out for standalone use? TX in UCDOS is still the best, but unfortunately I can't extract it.
