To Admins & All:
Since October 2002 up to now, the development of the China DOS Union Forum has exceeded three years. During this period, the forum space has been moved several times and has been in a state of instability. The forum system has also been repeatedly renovated and completely transformed. Although there have been many twists and turns, it has finally stood firm, and the hardships involved are hard to describe.
Some time ago, I started to sort out the closed post directory of the forum. Among them, I saw many posts discussing the construction and development of the forum. The footprints of the forum's progress are clearly visible. If sorted out, it is no less than a "History of the China DOS Union and the Forum".
Now, in line with the enthusiasm for inheriting and carrying forward the fine traditions and promoting and accelerating the development of the forum, I specially propose to formally implement the policy of publicizing forum management. This proposal mainly includes three parts:
1. Actively publicize the construction and adjustment content of the forum, including server replacement, major adjustments and maintenance operations, forum system replacement, major adjustment operations, etc. This part is proposed to be announced in the form of forum announcements;
2. Actively publicize the information of the forum management team members, including the personal information, power and responsibilities, promotion records, etc. of administrators, super moderators, moderators, super users and other members who have all or part of the forum management rights. This part is proposed to be announced by posting special posts in the "Site Announcements & Moderator Discussion" area;
3. Actively publicize the forum management operations in each section, including the editing, moving, deleting, splitting, merging, promoting, highlighting, top/unsuspend, adding/removing essence, closing/opening topics, etc. in each section. Operations such as modifying user information, scoring, silencing, deleting accounts, blocking IPs, etc. This part is proposed to be announced by posting top posts in each section.
At present, this proposal has been supported by the forum administrator Wengier. Now, I quote the content of the private message discussed with Wengier, which serves as the first step for the forum to move towards the publicization of management.
Here, I hope that the forum management team members will carefully review this proposal, discuss relevant issues such as the scope and methods of publicizing management, and reach a consensus decision; I also welcome the majority of forum users to actively participate in the discussion and make their own contributions to the development of the forum.

Suggestion on Transparency of Management

Content: Recently, I mentioned that I would reprint the content of the private messages between moderators and administrators regarding moderator discussions in the "Site Announcements & Moderator Discussion" area to initiate more users to participate in the discussion to assist the management in making decisions.
Now, I have a further idea, that is, directly conduct discussions on forum management rules in the "Site Announcements & Moderator Discussion" area, and regularly publicize the management logs of each section. What do you all think?

Content: I completely agree. This should also promote everyone's participation at the same time.
