I found a bootable disk made by Wengier, MSDOS710.IMG. I wanted to add some more tools to it, so I used winimage to change its format (it seems that you can only change the size by changing the format) to a custom format. Since more space was needed, I changed it to 4 times the original size. I added the tool files I found. I used easyboot to make it into a bootable image in the CD - boot image menu. It works fine when booting the system, and the original files can be used. But as soon as I move the files I added later (read, write, execute, etc.), it prompts "sector not found reading drive A". I tried to adjust the parameters of this enlarged img file with winimage, but no matter how I adjusted it, the result was the same. Please, experts, give me some pointers. Why is this happening? And how can I make a bootable disk image with large space? How can I enlarge the Wengier - made bootable disk MSDOS710.IMG and still have the new files added work?

Is your img file read-only?

WinImage saves in the default compressed format IMZ by default. This format cannot successfully boot the boot disk with format IMZ by default. This format IMZ by default. Wengier's MSDOS 7.1 boot disk can be expanded. I successfully expanded it to 2.88M.

I have encountered this problem too. Actually, it's because of easyboot. I guess you used software like winISO to modify the ISO file created with easyboot, which would cause this ISO to fail to boot the system. You need to modify the original easyboot folder and then start the easyboot program to re - make the ISO image, and then it will be okay.
