Using a laptop under XP, when I run games like Taikou Risshiden 1 and San Guo 5 in compatibility mode, after entering the game I can't see the mouse, but the mouse is definitely there. I can click the game menus, but I just can't see the mouse cursor. Please help answer this, everyone. Thanks!

I think it should be a driver problem, probably because when you enter DOS you have not installed the corresponding old mouse driver for DOS.

I enter MS-DOS mode, run mouse.com first, and then run the game, but it still doesn't work.

Try CuteMouse, in “Drivers”. I have used it to run this game, no problem.

How should it be used? Why is it that when I run ctmouse, it always can't find my ps/2 mouse or the laptop's mouse, and it is always looking for a mouse on the com2,com4 ports?

Try CTMOUSE's /P option and see if it works.

Or use DOS's own mouse driver; compatibility will be a bit better. Your mouse isn't USB, is it?

That means your PS/2 mouse is not correctly installed or connected. Is that laptop mouse PS/2?

But this ps/2 mouse can be used as soon as it is plugged in. The laptop's built-in mouse is that ibm tracepoint kind of built-in mouse. The ps/2 mouse is one I plugged in afterward; after plugging it in, both can be used.

Learn how to ask questions first, then we can talk.
Change the title of your post to something better.
For posts with titles like this, there may only be these three possible outcomes in the future:
1。No one replies. (This is the best case)
2。Moved to the off-topic posting area.
3。Deleted.
