Hello, all you Windows experts! I want to install Windows 3.X on a floppy disk. Is that feasible? If so, how exactly should it be done? I hope all you experts can give me some advice, thanks!

It seems not possible! I haven't tried it, but the space on a floppy disk is too small, so it probably can't hold that much stuff! You can give it a try! If you have a USB flash drive, maybe it can be installed on that!

Windows 3.X can't be installed on a floppy disk, but after trimming it down you can put it onto a floppy disk. Take a look at what I made. http://mw16.2ya.com "My Mini-Windows Beta 2" there

I know Windows 3.X can't be installed completely onto a floppy disk, but it can be trimmed down, and then it will work. But I'm a newbie and don't know exactly how to do it. I hope you can share a few tricks, thanks!

Please rename 2003441055986189.rar to mw16b2.rar, and rename 2003441173443391.rar to mw16b2.r00

Extraction succeeded! But why is there only one Mw16b2.exe file inside? Is it the installer? Do I install it directly under Windows?

MiniWindows was made by that foreign guy Micheal, and it's entirely in English. This is a slightly modified version of it. It's just too troublesome to extract: first you have to use UNRAR, then PKUNZIP twice(!), and finally DOSIMG/HD-COPY to unpack it (even UNDISK won't work). Can't it be made simpler? Especially since that self-extracting file can't run under pure DOS.

To Wengier in the post above, why does what you said sound so troublesome? I first extracted it with WinRAR, and there was a *.zip file inside, then I extracted that with WinZip and got a final installation file. Can't it just be installed and used directly?
